Hey greg...last I heard you have to get on a list to fish it now( back ground checks) then sign up for the day you go, and they only allow so many people. Not sure how true all that is but it was closed to the public post 9/11, and this is the alternative....

No back gound checks needed. I dont think there are crappie in the lake. At least I have not heard of anyone fishing for them.

I ask a friend of mine that fishes there all the time. He said he has never caught a crappie from there. Said the water is too warm for crappie.

I went down with Anton a little over a year ago they are in there but for us it was not Squaw Creek it was
(Naw Creek)no Crappie to be found that day.

House in the water nobody home at this time:

They are there just like they were at Lake Fairfeild just not too prevelent. I have some pics somewhere of some from there I will find and post.

Back when I fished for LMB we had a few tournaments in the winter at Squaw Creek. Great LMB lake but, never fished it for crappie. Back then, we had to be at the gate when it opened early in the morning and they only allowed a set number of boats on the lake at one time. This was not long after 9/11 and it's probably different now. But, even back then, no background checks or even identification needed to get in. I'm guessing it has some hog crappie as it is warm year round.

Never caught any crappie there and fished many years before 9/11. Now, $30 a boat or $5 bank fishin. Is some good kitty fishing in that lake though.
