I'm heading down to the Surfside area in a couple of weeks to do some fishing. Normally I just surf fish but I am thinking about bringing down my 12' jon boat this time. Its a flat bottom with a 5hp outboard and 30lb trolling motor. What are my options as far as places nearby to fish with a small boat? Is Christmas bay too choppy? What about the canal system? Places to launch are also appreciated. Thanks!

Canal system or hope you hit a calm day. These north winds are gonna keep the water low, keep that in mind.

Canals have never disappointed me, just gotta troll for that spot.
