Great video Peyton!
I thought the grass carp in Texas were state regulated, needing a permit to obtain, and all sterile. Are some of you seeing them in public waters or signs of reproduction?
Unfortunate how much they are reproducing in other water systems, hope something can be done.

Dfitz, they are supposed to be, but clearly some fertile ones have gotten loose. The waters around and in Houston are filled with them, as well as with tilapia and plecostemus (suckermouth/armored catfish). I do my part by killing all that I catch, except for the stocked amur in Conroe and other such lakes.

What are the natural predator of the carp?

You have to be very careful about stocking predators as well. Once the silver and bigheads are undercontrol the predators would keep all of the natives suppressed as well. White Amur (grass carp) have been planted in many Texas lakes to keep the hydrilla under control, but in Conroe they overdid it, and once the hydrilla was gone they ate every native water plant as well...

What are the natural predator of the carp? When they are small, everything that eats fish. Once they get bigger, gator gar, gators, and people...maybe some birds of prey.

Net them and use them for fertilizer. They are already in the farm belt anyway.

Love my Cajun kinfolk for finding one solution to the problem of the Silver Carp just renames it to Silverfin! People will eat and keep coming back for seconds and a Cajun will make a buck or two! It’s all in the marketing Chef Philippe Parola has developed several recipes for the preparation of “silverfin,” He says the fish tastes like a scallop/crab mix, and “consumers will love it.” Louisiana has already secured a processor, a distributor, and a grocery chain to sell the product. www.silverfincraze.comhttp://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/fishing/silverfin/cleaning-instructions

As you said you can't kill em in Conroe, but they've gotten to Lake Houston through the San Jac and you have free reign on killing em there!
