Hey yall,

I went out today to the local creeks for a few hours and did very well. Ive caught numerous LMB all varying from half-pounders to 1 just over 3 pounds.

Im really happy today because on the past 4 trips, Ive skunked on 1 and the other 3 were very slow days.

But also, Im very proud because today I also seens lots of improvement when using jigs.

I avoided them because I had zero confidence in them. But one thing I learned this past year is that 'Confidence can be built'.

Here's some pics:

This one was the best of the day (just over 3 lbs).

Here's some I caught on Lake Fork Tackle worms (weightless TX-Rig):

I like the belly on this one. Chubby fella :P

Very nice fish indeed. Last year I had no confidence in a bass jig. This year I couldnt put it down. Love it with a nice craw trailer.

Creek fishing is my favorite. Caught a 6 lb bass once out of a creek that was no more than 6 feet across

Thanks y'all

Yes, adding a trailer was one thing that helped me when using jigs.

Ive caught 10 total. I wouldve had 13, but lost 3 during the fights.

I seen a few massive size LMB, so I know there's some much bigger ones there.

Very cool man those bass have some sweet color to 'em! That's Mason Creek right? I haven't been there in awhile but have caught my share of good ones out there as well!

If you don't mind me asking where is that spot that's in the 3rd and 4th pic? I need to make it out there soon and wouldn't mind trying a new spot especially with the construction going on at my usual spot.

Hey Gillinator,
I dont mind helping fellow TFFers.

The 2nd photo is Mason creek.
The rest is that creek behind the soccer fields at Bush park that feeds into Buffalo bayou. Ive marked it on the Google bank fishing map.

Some parts are about 6" deep and some are about 3-4 feet deep.
The water is often clear to stained (but Im sure its extremely muddy after the flooding we got today, so its best to give it a few days). There's rock piles and vegetation as you walk the bank towards the Fry Rd.

With the construction project, I don't think I'll be going to Mason creek for a while.

I appreciate it man! Might have to check it out sometime.

Yeah I probably won't either with the construction. I just stopped by there one day when the workers were there and one of em was a real d!ck.

Definitely did.
I would hear them sucking on the vines that grow into the water.
I dont know much about their behavior, but Ive seen them migrate westbound in packs of 4-5 (each one at 2' in length).

Haha
Yeah, I dont want to get in the way of their work.
Ive waived at some of them in a friendly greeting manner and they just stare at me.

I think all the construction keeps disturbing the water as well (tractors/dozers pushing dirt and mud into the water).

Nice catch! Don't know about you other guys... That looks like the same fish to me. Just because you put a different lure on your line and pu tit in its mouth, dont mean you get to count it every time. J/K. Nice fish.
