Made a trip on Saturday down to the ICW and Cedar Lakes. Sun up brought flat waters that were fairly stained. Fished the San Bernard River till about 8:30 and managed only a handful of keeper size croaker. Got down to one of the cuts from Cedar Lake into the ICW about 8:45. Found water running out fairly hard and saw fish boiling all around the cut. Caught a limit of black drum in about an hour and a half. A few throw backs. Also caught 12 rat reds, 17-19 inches. I can not believe the number of 19 inch reds we have in our gulf coast waters. All fish caught on fresh peeled shrimp. Somewhere around 10:30 the wind changed directions and picked up to about 15mph, my boat turned about 60 degrees, and the catching stopped. The smallest drum was 16 and the largest was 19. Hitting that spot at the right time turned a slow day into a succesful trip. Tight Lines, Baldy Locks.
