My wife bought me all new gear for Christmas and I haven't been out since before all of my other stuff was stolen in 2008.

I live in Fort Worth but will drive anywhere, just want to have an idea where to start. Not looking for anything huge just want to take her out and pull a few fish from the water.

Lake Worth is your best banking option. It's all catch and release on the kitties though due to the PCB's and consumption advisories. Lot's a bank spots to fish. But plenty of big cats to catch also

The Trinity around Downtown has been producing several 20# cats. Again catch and release only

Benbrook can be tough but I caught several cats at holiday park infront of the model airplane field last week. Walk out on the hump and spread lines caught several over 10#'s

Only on crappie, sandbass, LM bass. Catfish and buffalo are still on the list

The TPWD stocks a few of the local ponds every 2 weeks with ready to eat catfish. Here is a map.
