Well, I've been bitten by the saltwater bug.

I fished the bay side of Galveston Island as a teen (don't ask how long ago) and decided a couple of years ago that I wanted to get back into it. So, I have a couple of buddies that fish regularly, and talked my way into being invited.

Several trips over the past couple of years, and I've now got my own gear.

Granted, I have to add this new addiction to my deer/dove/hog hunting passion. But, I can keep my rig in my truck, and as I travel for my job.....I can play at lunch.

Anyway, I've been surfing these boards, and picking up some things. One thing for sure, I'm going to try to find Mr. Scurtu at Rollover and watch him a couple of times....maybe even ask for advice!

Peace. Oh, and GO TEXANS!

Hello,

Is my plesure to meet you at Rollover Pass, but right now i can't drive (peripheral neuropaty")and this month i must go to do one baypass on my right leg, because my old baypass(12 years ago) is gone.

I can show you how i fish and to tell what i now about saltwater fishing, but maybe many another fishermens now to fish better comparative with me.
For over 40 years i was fishing in my excontry in Europe but just in fresh water, not in salt water.I am better fisherman fishing in fresh water in Europe, not so good in salt water, but i like very much to fish.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Jean Scurtu

Wish you best of luck and a speedy recovery, Mr. Scurtu (Unfortunately, we can't recover from old age, but at least they can patch us up and keep us going a while longer. In my case, "store-bought " knees, etc.)
