We have a young angler here in WA State whose name is Chase Heaton. He was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. He's a strong 18 year old and responding well to the treatment but it's taking its toll.
Northwest Bass, a local tournament organization, has paired with Jon Stewart of BASS and they have put together a dream trip for Chase and his dad to attend the Bassmaster Classic next month. You can read the details at
www.nwbass.net.I am putting together a fundraiser to help raise funds to get Chase and his dad to the Classic as well as helping with rising medical expenses. We will be raffling off 10 "prize packs" that, so far, will include Wave Away, Quick Drops, Top Shelf Swimbaits, Yamamoto Baits, Lucky Craft Baits, and Sniper Lures. We will be selling raffle tickets at
www.waveaway.com from Feb 1-15 for $5 each. All retail purchases made at
www.waveaway.com during this time will also count as 1 raffle ticket and Wave Away will donate $5 towards the raffle per sale.
We will randomly draw 10 tickets and the prize packs will be awarded around February 20. I also have an autographed Brent Ehrler jersey and a Lamiglas cranking rod that were donated that will be bonus prizes within (2) of the prize packs.
I've already talked with my friends at Wired2Fish.com and they are behind us 100% and will be promoting the heck out of it.
I wanted to check in to see if any of you own fishing/tackle companies or have sponsors that might be willing to donate product for this fundraiser.
We have a press release that will include all of the details as well as the logos of the companies who donate product. The deadline for this is around January 20 so that we can have everything in order for the February 1 start date.
