I decided to go to Lavon today. Well the day started off really bad. I got up late and rushed to get everything and drove to the boat ramp and looked in the back of the truck for the shad and flame left it at the house. Well great, now I am running late and have no shad. Go looking and looking and looking and only could find the small ones. Finally found the bigger ones. Alright it off to fish. By now the wind has pickked up and on the first anchor a couple of small hits no takers. 2nd anchor same thing. Alright then lets do a drift. set them out and started drifting bam bam bam and triple and things going everywhere. I am by myself so it was alittle fun. 5 12 and 30 not a bad start. then bam bam a double and an 8 and 10. started 2nd drift and bam good 10+ and then got a couple more doubles of smaller fish and one more good teenager. Not a bad day started fishing at 11 and off by 2:30

At least you ended up having a decent day.

I did one better. I was in a rush couple weeks ago and hooked up the boat and headed out. Got down the road several mile and realized I forgot the bait. I continue driving cause I figured I could throw for bait. Light bulb went off, I forgot to the cast net. So I turn around and headed home. On the way back, I remembered I had also forgotted the rods. So no bait, not net, no rod. Wonder how many fish I was going to catch smile. Got home and loaded these things up and headed back to lake. Look in the mirror just in time to my landing net blow out of the boat. At this point, I decide I should just return home. It wasn't meant for me to fish that day.

The low water ramp at little ridge is open. The ramp seems to be fine, just have to beach your boat. Courtesy dock is about 50' from the water.
