Went fishing for the first time in ages and it was a relearning experience. We hit the 35 bridge first and it was pretty slow so we decided to venture up the creek. Glad we did too. The lake was low but there is still plenty of water to get back there.

We managed about 20 or so fish with some keepers mixed in there. We gave them to a bank fisherman we saw on our way out. Slow day for sure for us but really nice weather out. Shoot any day fishing for me lately has been a blessing. We fishing brush piles in the creek in about 10' of water about 8' down using jigs and some nibbles.

After a couple good rains and cold weather again, the should start to stack up in there.....

Which creek?

Does anyone know if shady shores ramp is open? Someone had mention it is closed. Is this true?

Shady Shores and Westlake have been opened again.

we went back up into the creek yesterday and couldn't get a bite... we are obviously doing something wrong. How far are you going back up there? We went a couple hundred yards past the new 2499 bridge and fished our way back.

The fish don't seem to be up in that creek very thick yet. I haven't noticed much bait fish either.

Shady shores is open just be careful backing off the ramp. There is a small drop but I have been doing fine

I went aboubt 1/4 mile up past the large log pile there in the creek. Hit about 4 piles. The brush is pretty easy to find with the lake so low.
