Whats the best way to use them?
What are yall's favorite colors, flavors?
Are they good at night?
All info would be appreciated. I am trying to learn more about them.

the best popups i have found bar none are the mainline hi-vis.
http://www.carpkit.com/mainline-double-s...qnt-60-per-tub/

those are bright in color, smell awesome, and a half of one will pop up a 16mm boilie off the bottom. i use them when the bite slows down or if there is weed on the bottom. yes there good at night. i have all the ones in the link above laugh

I like mainleline and world classic. I have some dynamite fruity tuity, but I don't have an opinion on those.

I fish them with a reverse combi rig and some tungsten putty.

Couple tips I think I learned.

1. Make sure the hook angle is right on the popup. I miss more fish on them and attribute it to the hook angle on my rig.

2. Homemade boilies can be made into popups by microwaving them instead of boiling them.

3. You can popup any bait by using foam. I use the foam ladies put between their toes just cut into pieces. I try to fish neutral balanced more but I have a lot of luck popping up a single piece of maize with a small piece of pink foam. Caught my two largest buffs on a neutral balanced blowback rig with maize and foam. I got my foam at Walmart in the beauty section for like $.99

4. I think they may work better on finicky fish, like buffalo. I hear fruity flavors are popular.

5. Rig http://www.korda.co.uk/rigz/?id=5

I have a ton of pop ups from a range of companies. I actually prefer Artificial pop up boilies more than real pop ups just because they never lose buoyancy and are indestructable. I glug mine in flavor and just keep them in there forever, they never leak out and after a session they go straight back into the jar. My favorites lately have been the Scorpion 15 mil White artificial boilies and the Bait-logic 12 mil White artificial boilies. They really don't pop up the hook, but they float just enough to critically balance to the weight of the hook without any shot or anything added.

My favorite "Real" pop ups are CC Moore fruity plum and Minstral Rosehips. Those 2 flavors produce in about every water I have found. Also just regular old tutti frutti pop ups from K-1 are just an old go-to and favorite for me.

I love the mistral rosehip and I've used the solar pineapple and cream with some success too.

I also use the same foam as Nick works great for making balanced baits and pop ups. Also works all by itself too... i have caught fish with just foam tucked into a ball of method.
