Anybody know anything about this small lake in or around Tyler? My buddy who lives in Tyler was told about this small body of water but does not know a thing about the fishing there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Really clear... small... great bass fishing and Really great crappie fishing as well!!! Theyll load up on the points and channel swings this time of year... easy pickings once you find them! Some standing timber on the north end but clear towards the dam!

I have fished Lake Hawkins my whole life, for bass and crappie. It used to have a bunch of main water moss lines (hydrilla) that produced crappie during the hotter months, but they poisoned/killed it all not too long ago. Heard it's coming back. It's a clear lake, spring fed and water level seldom gets low. Stumps start past Fish Hawk marina (Little Italy) and run up to the north end. Small bridge at the north end, sometimes fishermen there. I can't share any specifics with you out of respect for my dad, but it's a nice lake.
