Hey everyone,

We all are concerned about lake levels and safety. I have a list of things for everyone to review and take notice of next week at Lake Tyler. Please call me if you have any questions.

FOR CONTINUED SAFETY PLEASE ABIDE BY THESE RULES
1. We will begin take off by boat number from Hill Creek Ramp Area, once the sun has cleared the trees
2. Everyone will take off by your boat number you receive when you register, as I call you out
3. Proceed to your fishing hole with caution
4. We will have check in flights determined by the number of entries on Saturday morning
5. Livewell checks will be performed as you are launching, or please come find me to check it if you come by water
6. Weigh In will be in parking lot of Concession #1/Lake Tyler Marina (check in times TBD)

Why the late take off there isn't any boating hazards.

Not just for the late start but idling halfway across the lake before taking of is dumb. there are no stumps to speak of between the ramp and the front of the island. The decision should be made the morning of. If no fog then let em go!!!!!

Most of you know I will get you gone ASAP. I will get you gone as soon as I feel it is safe for everyone. We are trying to look out for all the anglers safety in these low water conditions. Langley Island is a long way, I have posted that to make everyone aware......looks like I have done that.

Be safe is the key here guys. Please use your heads.

I understand the needing to be safe for EVERYONE. But since the start time is 7am, it will be plenty light enough for everyone to see, so i dont understand idling past the island. Sorry just my opinion.

You need to re think that idle past Langley. That's a long freaking idle either direction that there is no need for.

Recent rains have lifted my thoughts on idling past Langley....we will take off by boat number in order and idle a safe distance from the other boats before reaching plane.
