Its been awhile since Ive fished for sandbass but I wanted to give it a go again. Only this year I wont be going to my favorite spot on the sabine called "the shoals" down in carthage. This year I was going to concentrate on the sulphur around the Naples area. But before I go I thought I would check with you guys to see if youve heard anything about them running yet. I think its a little early because I always remember going to Carthage in February.. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks fellas

They wear the Pumas when it is time to run, for moving there is only one choice:

I've caught them as early as New Years day at River Ridge. There are already fish at the shoals.

the whites have already started in my area.
it varies from yr to year & region to region IMO. several factors that will determine when they start moving and how many will show. Nature knows. You can't say the last week of november or middle of december cause it dont work like that is my point. if the creeks arn't flowing then the spawn will happen better some where else. i think the only way to know for sure if your set on fishing a spot is to wet a line. good luck!
