I don't fish in the winter, and I don't eat much fish in the winter, but I had two trout fillets left, and was burned out on turkey. I remembered that a couple of people had told me that fish in the microwave was great. It was not rocket science. I put the two fillets in a plate, bone side down, with lime juice, and salt for around 3 hours. I just sprayed them with butter flavored Pam, and sprinpled chili powder over them. I covered mine with plastic wrap and put them in the microwave for three and a half minutes. They came out fine. I served them with seasoned butter, coleslaw, and store bought hash browns. Have you ever tried fish in the microwave?

That sounds tasty but make sure you only do that at home. Fish in the microwave is one thing that can completley funk up a common area, like doing it at work.

Man that smell never goes away!

That said, I've done bluegill filets much the same way though your seasoning sounds better. Only takes a couple minutes to get 'em cooked.

i have been doing it in the mircowave for about 15 years. I started out using frozen fish fliets.Just let them thaw out then put some butter or olive oil in a pan, put fish on top of oil then drip on some lemmond juice and tony's cover with plastic wrap and cook for 3-5 minutes. Mark

You LIVE down on the coast and dont fish in the winter for trout???

Man, this time of year, they KILL the trout up in Prien lake ( north Calcasieu). They are stacked up in there like cord wood.
