I will be there over the weekend, are there any creeks with water in them?lol....... or maybe below the spillway/dam? I keep reading reports of the main lake being fished by the dam but im willing to bet that will do me no good. Any help is good help!

If it was dead calm you could get out on the lake.
That doesn't usually happen and this weekend may be extra windy up to 25 mph. Can't help you on the creeks.
Not much help! good luck

Besides the wind I have heard reports of 80-100 boats being out on the weekend! Id hate to get caught up in that!

Might try putting in down at 26 landing off of US 259. Its just south of Lone Star. Right now it is just the creek channel with the water so low. I know people of have done very well in the past. Have not heard anything this year.

Not arguing with you but would like to know where this info about high winds came from. Every weather site I have looked at say up to 7. Yes I know the weather sites underestimate wind alot of times but I've seen nothing close to 25. If I'm missing a good site for wind forecasts I'd like to know.

Coach you might try the river channel up on 155! The ramp is extremely close to the river channel which is marked by large telephone poles. Follow those poles in both direction and fish up and down the river. I have personally done very well in the river channel up there in the winter. Havent been up there this year, but it will get good up there in February!
