yes it does but I think it is a rainbow that has been living in the river a long while.. they go from fat silver stockers to slim golden/crimson striped beauties.

Monday was a holiday for the Eagle so I hit the road on down to the Guadalupe river to do a little trout fishing with my nephew Harry. One nice thing about Texas weather is that there are some really beautiful days in the winter. Monday was cool, bright and sunny on the river and just about as perfect a day can be and to spend it fishing was truly a gift.
We took the relaxed approach to the day leaving home about 7am and fishing through the noon hour. We broke for lunch around 2pm just after Harry caught the first trout of the day, a very nice carry-over from prior years stocking. We put a lot of effort into fishing the river, wading up and down over the slippery uneven river bed. It's only by luck neither of us went swimming but even in my advancing age I'm still fairly nimble but very cautious. Harry being only 19, is still bulletproof, strong as hell and a damn good fisherman as he out-fished me 4 to 1! But I'm not too worried, he will never catch up to my lifetime total
