• PERMITTED FISHING AREAS: All Texas public waters accessible by boat from the tournament launch site.
• TOURNAMENT HOURS 7:00AM - 2:00PM must be in weight-in line by 4:00pm

Entry Fees for Open tournaments should be mailed to the Director and must be postmarked no later than the Friday 8 days prior to the Tournament. ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED FRIDAY 27TH AT THE BOAT SHOW AND THE MORNING OF THE TOURNAMENT 5:30 TO 6:30AM - CASH ONLY

There will be a $50.00 fee charged on all checks returned for insufficient funds.
Winners are responsible for any and all taxes on any moneys or prizes won.

plz tell more abt this requirement. Im not understanding how an organization within a citys municipality has anything to do with something that falls under state law jursidiction. Liability insurance isnt required to buy a fishing license, liability insurance isnt requred to register a boat, liabilty insurance isnt required to fish on any public lake that I know of, so how did this requrement come about. Insurance falls under state and federal laws,and is inforced by county law enforcement officials, not a chamber of commerce. ??

Bass Masters and other organizations require insurance. It is a guarantee, so to speak, that the organization isn't liable for any damage one may incure from an accident. Also, other boaters don't have to worry about any "Ol' Joe" tearing up their boat and not having coverage.

you missed the bus,, he said the chamber of commerce required the insurance.. thats a huge leap.

Maybe a typo.....the XtremeCrappieFishing tourney rules require insurance.

They will not take our word for it, they have to have a copy for the city of longview.

They need to know that you have liable insurance to cover any damage that may incur from and accident during this event.

XCF- This is from our rules:
17. LIABILITY INSURANCE: All team members must carry a minimum of $100,000 of liability insurance on any boat they might use during any Xtreme Crappie Fishing Tournament. Failure to do so or reporting of false information will result in disqualification of catch. Participants must include the company name and either the policy number or the name of the agent binding the coverage on the entry form for each tournament.

You need this insurance, because you could loss everything you have.
I Have $500.000 liable insurance.
Go to FLW, Bass Master, Bass Champ and other and you will see that you need liable insurance to fish there tournaments.

Its your potato, cook it how you like, but saying the longview chamber of commerce reqires that you require insurance just doesnt sound legal to me. what does the chamber of commerce have to do with a little fishing tournament? how do they even know your having it? are they a sponsor? do you have to get permits to fish the lake? im not trying to be a heckler here, just trying to understand this. we have tournaments here on federal corps of engineer property, and they dont require insurance, just a permit, in case theres alot of people they can keep from several events being sceduled on the same day, causing hazzards.

The weigh-in will be in the Exhibition Hall part of the City Maude Cobb Activity Center, Just like last year.

The City of Longview and the Chamber is a big part of this event, this year will be the first time in many year to have fishing tackle back, some will be crappie fishing items.

Ok I looked over this and not sure if I am right but do you have to check in that morning and let them look over boat and then you can go to lake of your choice? or if you have paid you just go to lake and start fishing that morning at 7. Never fished a crappie tournament and am thinking on trying and have fun. Do you get to keep crappie or are those turned in to you?

You only weigh-in 7 fish.
XCF keep the 7 fish and give them to the Challenged Outdoorsmen of America.
You keep the rest of your limit.

You have 3 ways to pay your entry fee.
By mail must be post mark by Jan 20th 2012.
You can come by the XCF booth Friday Jan 27th.
We will be at the EXPO the morning of the Tournament 5:30am to 6:30am.

Note: the Prize money will be awarded following the POLYGRAPH TEST.

A. You will come in the NE corner of the fence in area of the Exhibition Hall.

Q. Do we have to pay admission to get in for the weigh-in?
A. NO, but after you weigh in you must go back out to your boat and take it out to the parking lot.
