Hey Everyone... lets try this... I have complete professional weather instrumentation and am wanting to compare the fish caught on certain days to the 1)Month of Year, 2) Barometer, 3) Moon Phase.
Would you mind posting for a while the number of fish you caught (INCLUDING 0) versus the time of day, date, and creek or lake that you caught them? You do not even have to give location, just please make sure you are in the Texas areas... I reside about 15 miles south of Dallas off of I35.

You can see the current barometer, trends, as well as the observations every 15 minutes for the last week, and event the pressures for the day of each month past on this site of mine... http://www.ntxweather.org/currentif you are on a computer go to the radar pages, they are amazing and also show the current temps, winds, sky conditions, and dew points all over Texas...

Hey FD, I fished several spots today (1-2-12) on lake lewisville. The bite was VERY slow!!!! BP was a constant 30.60! I fished 4 different main lake areas that I have been able to nickel and dime a limit together nearly every time, until today!! My last handful of outings have yielded very high numbers of under sized fish. Catching 40-50 dinks to squeak out a limit of keepers. Today on the other hand was BAD! I launched at 6:40 and fished until 3:00pm. I caught 14 crappie, 4 being keepers that I released on the trip back in. I tried every technique, color, depth, bridges, brush piles, And standing timber! I haven't really paid much attention to BP, but have heard mention about it really screwing with the fish. I will deffinately start keeping it in mind when planning future outings!

http://www.usairnet.com/weather/conditions/?station=KDFWI bet they are feeding at night, look at this graph, right before midnight the pressure was 30.18 then by daybreak almost 30.30 its been doing this for a spell, and coincidentally, the fish havent been feeding much in the daytime latley.

29.92 at sea level is considered normal pressure - not high or low.
As altitude increases normal pressure decreases. So Leanin post does his best around normal pressure.

Canoe trip on a creek in LL today 12-2:30, one cappie caught on a purple jig after about an hour of fishing (and 1.5 hours of battling wind paddling). A guy that got to the wind sheltered spot before us caught 5. Fish were within a foot or two of the bottom in the deeper holes and structure. (bank fishermen coming up empty). Water temp 49-52 degrees. Pressure ~29.0

a I meant just say, "lake or creek" you do not have to give exactly which one... Unsure what use your collecting of Texas fish caught vs your local pressure data will be....the pressure changes in one part of the state don't necessarily track the pressure changes in other parts of the state. Fronts stall, move forward, move backward and that drastically affects the barameter. If you had the GPS location and exact time of reports, you could look up the pressures, but your local gauge will not accurately show those same pressures or even the direction or trends of the pressure changes where the fish are actually being caught. sorry..

I dont think thats what he is doing. I dont think he is trying to track the weather or barometer, I think he is just trying to track at what barometric pressures people are or arent catching fish. location doesnt matter,, just what the pressure was at the time they were fishing and how many if any caught.

I dont think he is trying to track the weather or barometer, I think he is just trying to track at what barometric pressures people are or arent catching fish. location doesnt matter,, just what the pressure was at the time they were fishing and how many if any caught. Location (for the fish)means everything. They don't know or care what the pressure gauge is reading at the poster's home weather station. Fish can only sense or care what the barometric pressure is at their lake location. The readings across an area the size of Texas will often vary greatly and can even move in opposite directions. Some fronts never reach parts of the state, while they create huge barametric changes in other parts of the state.

Wundergound weather input you nearest town and set date. It gives a 24 hr look at past temp/wind direction/wind speed and changes in speed/baro pressure----I allways compare how the day before of fish caught and times. http://www.wunderground.com/history/airp...statename=Texas

I understand that my home station will not work for all areas, however I am actually a meteorologist and can see for any specific location to the second. Also, what the trend is at some point a judge of what it will be like in another from time juxtaposition...

Been catching plenty lately so I haven't bothered to look. Last time I looked was a couple weeks ago and it was way high, 33.02 and caught fish all day. When its that high they say they won't bite but then again it also shouldn't be 78 degrees in mid january like it was today when they were biting good
