Unsure what use your collecting of Texas fish caught vs your local pressure data will be....the pressure changes in one part of the state don't necessarily track the pressure changes in other parts of the state.

Fronts stall, move forward, move backward and that drastically affects the barameter. If you had the GPS location and exact time of reports, you could look up the pressures, but your local gauge will not accurately show those same pressures or even the direction or trends of the pressure changes where the fish are actually being caught.

sorry..

I dont think thats what he is doing. I dont think he is trying to track the weather or barometer, I think he is just trying to track at what barometric pressures people are or arent catching fish. location doesnt matter,, just what the pressure was at the time they were fishing and how many if any caught.

Location (for the fish)means everything. They don't know or care what the pressure gauge is reading at the poster's home weather station. Fish can only sense or care what the barometric pressure is at their lake location. The readings across an area the size of Texas will often vary greatly and can even move in opposite directions. Some fronts never reach parts of the state, while they create huge barametric changes in other parts of the state.

Wundergound weather input you nearest town and set date. It gives a 24 hr look at past temp/wind direction/wind speed and changes in speed/baro pressure----I allways compare how the day before of fish caught and times. http://www.wunderground.com/history/airp...statename=Texas

I understand that my home station will not work for all areas, however I am actually a meteorologist and can see for any specific location to the second. Also, what the trend is at some point a judge of what it will be like in another from time juxtaposition...

pressures yesterday were in the 30.1-30.19 range... much lower today as the low pressure system is now centered over north texas...

Been catching plenty lately so I haven't bothered to look. Last time I looked was a couple weeks ago and it was way high, 33.02 and caught fish all day. When its that high they say they won't bite but then again it also shouldn't be 78 degrees in mid january like it was today when they were biting good
