I would look at a deep v aluminum like a Lund. They are very wide beam boats and with the deep v are very stable in open water. There are other manufacturers that are very similar and easier to find used or new.

A center console like a small Kenner, Nautic star, etc. That 19 Nautic star is a dry rig. As dry as a kenner. Took one to Lake Calcasieu , LA ( salt water bay) last spring with 25 knot SE winds and it handled it very well. Deep V will be your smoothest ride.
