so I had to hook up a battery charger up to my tundra when I plugged the charger in I heard a loud pop come from under the hood. before anyone asks yes the charger was hooked up correctly.. Any ideas where to look the truck will not start. I need help

The battery may have made the pop sound. I had a battery make that sound before. Is it cranking but not starting or not cranking?

I'll bet if you look at the seams of the battery you will see that they are split like the battery has exploded. This will happen if the acid level is low. When you hook up the charger, there is a spark at the cell plates since they are not covered & thefumes ignite.
