got the boat out earlier and after returning from getting gas noticed one oil bath hub was leaking on the inside. Should I start converting them to grease? 2007 Champion trailer. was planning to fish tomorrow but may not be able to now.

I'd just take it apart and change out the seal. The oil bath hubs are better than the greased hubs.

thank you. I took it apart, cleaned it up a little, reinstalled and filled with oil and it does not appear to be leaking.

Did you just clean the old seals and put them back in or did you instal new seals?

If you put the old ones back in be ready for leaks and water intrusion.

Oil bath hubs are horrible.

My last boat boat I had a bearing go out after putting in some oil just the day before and it never was really low. At that point I converted all of them back to a grease fitting type and it was not hard at all. Just had to use a different seal and even used the same cap. When I ordered the new boat I ordered grease fittings !
