Just getting into kayaking. Any info on this area? Thinking about giving it a go today. Taking the Castnet to see if any shad are around for catfish. If not I'll bust out the trout gear.

Decided to go get bait at Eagle Mountain today. Will be at the bridge tomorrow if anybody else is going see you out there.

Rapids about a quarter mile down river, and there are some up river also. Try the eddies. Also try the creeks, although when we were there a few days ago, the creeks were very low. Careful in the creeks; very silty. Good luck.

Is that enough to navigate by Kayak?

Yes, that was the same flow rate we had earlier in the week. You'll have a couple of spots where you'll have to do the yak drag, but it's still navigatable.

Decided to rig my Kayak with all the junk I've been buying for it. I'm off Wednesday and am planning on making the trip then.

Yeah. Two rod holders on the front and the fish finder install were accomplished today.
