My trip to twok proved to be anything but fun yesterday. Started out with transmission troubles on the way to the lake. Next was bait troubles for a solid 4 hours. In between those 4 hours, the old man and I got stuck in shallow water! More than 200 freaking yards from the bank. Got outta that mess and then back to finding bait......Negative. Finally got some frozen shad from a fishermen at the holiday marina. Better than nothing, and we were greatful. Winds were now picking up pretty good and we were able to make about 3 good drifts, before getting bullied off the lake. 1 channel and ZERO BLUES. BUT.. last night after church service I proposed to my girlfriend of 4 years and got a Yes... and I'm more than happy with that.
