Has anyone visited Cleburne State Park? Not Cleburne Lake, but rather, the nearby state park. Any decent bankfishing? Looking for a place where I can take my son away from Fort Worth for the day and do some fishing. Thanks for any help (I'm relatively new to TX).

The water temperature is too low for Cleburne to have good fishing. The state park is full of largemouth bass and catfish and they thrive in warmer temps. In the evening before sundown you might get lucky as the baitfish shallows up in the water the sun has warmed up.
