Another year, another list of the same goals as last.

I only fulfilled one of my goals this year (catch a DFW 20+ common somewhere besides where I'd caught the other 5).

So this year's goals are:

1. Catch a Texas mirror
2. Catch a 2nd 30+ common
3. New PB buff...really shouldn't be hard, it's only 27-8, but it didn't happen this year
4. Catch a grasser

Mines simple, Don't Blank! Guess I'll have to carry a perch pole full time.

One thing I've learned many years ago is that blanking is just a part of fishing. It's going to happen to the best of us.

If you like perch jerkin then I say go for it. I set a goal for myself in 2011 to catch the biggest sunfish/bluegill on TFF and it wasn't easy but I did it. I had fun all year long and made many new friends from all over Texas. It sure feels good to have a goal, accomplish that goal and be the best at what you do.

To fish more than I did last year.

I have a lot of saltwater goals planned this year but for carp I'd like o catch a 30 lb common, but I don't think I'll have as much time to fish this year.

Definitely plan to fish more this year. Just for grins, I am going to be attempting to either better or set some more water body records this year.

I also plan to do more fly fishing this year, with a goal to land a 7 pound plus bass on a fly.

The Tumaters will catch their first fish at ladybird lake.

Catch a 50+ alligator gar.
