Today while fishing lake Dunlap in my Kayak. Meet up with Drrouter and scored good on the redears, bluegills, redbreast. Prior to meeting up I also landed my first smallmouth bass. Excellent day, thank Drrouter.

My guess is about 3-4 pounds but I'm not good at guessing weights. What do you think?

Nice fish, looks more like a hybrid cross between large and small mouth.

Yeah, it might be one of those hybrids. Maybe a guad X smallie? If so I think that's a pretty big one! Then again, I'm far from an expert and it could just be a regular smallie... You might ask around in the fly fishing section. Those guys are good at IDs.

Whatever it is, congrats! Great looking fish! Some nice redears too!
