Cedar Creek Lake Friday December 30, 2011 with Eric Emeritz and George Snokhous.
On the lake at 9AM and for the next 3 hours it was mostly looking and fishing but not catching. Marked what we thought were fish but couldn’t get them to hit the rainbow silver shad slab. A little after noon, marked a good concentration of fish on the long ridge at 22 feet but they still would not hit the silver shad. Finally we down sized to a small chartreuse slabs fished slowly off the bottom a foot or so and then slowly let the slab fall back to the bottom and immediately starting getting very light taps. Fish were hard to hook as they would just lightly tap the slab making it hard to set the hook but we did manage to put 30 big sand bass in the ice chest before heading to the ramp at 2PM. No hybrids today.
It was a beautiful sunny day with light wind out of the northwest and water temperature at 51 degrees. More boats on the lake today than I have seen in the last 2 months.

Eric with a nice sand bass.

Eric and George with a double.

Now for the fillet knife.

George is going to celebrate New Years Eve with a big fish fry.
