To get skunked.....got my wife out on the water for the first time in a couple months. The weather was great. Saw about 10-15 other boats and not one person had a fish in the boat. One bass guy said he has been out everyday for two weeks and hadn't caught anything. Waco has been off this winter, not sure what is going on. I think I may need to head to Palestine or somewhere else for a break.

We got skunked also, threw every thing we had at them, only caught a couple bass. Saw one youngman in a tube at iron bridge said he had caught one keeper and two little ones.

they are feeding at night, weve spent alot of daytime fishing in the last week and a half, ive seen it before, in cycles, they will start feeding daytime and not night, then switch. also threw the castnet to see what size the shad are running, looks like ab t2.0 to 2.5 inches, so it probalby isnt taking a whole lot of feeding to get thier fill.

yes Bill that was us working that beaver dam, I was kind of tuned out, sorry if I didnt recognise yall. were in the right area, just gotta get thier dining schedule. water temp dropped some up there, but before the recent runoff coming in, it was the warmest water in the lake . .

Good meeting you today. It was slow for us. My son is two hours south & I am two hours north of Waco. We meet every couple of months for a day visit and day of fishing. Great day even with the bite being off.
