Has anyone been out to this lake lately? I havent been since the summer. I was thinking of goin to Gibbons Creek but I read that the ramp was a little dangerous.

Sommerville is some 10 feet low, and as I understand it from Weldon Kirk there is only one ramp open.

Rocky Creek is open for boats. Keep the trailer straight because there is a big drop off on the sides if ya don't.

This was shot when the lake was 8 feet low, now it's ten plus low.

I've watched that video about 10 times or so for the last few months. Excellent vid. Ben. There is NO vegetation at the water level anywhere still. It will be awesome when it does fill. Plenty of birds still out there to watch in and around the sand bars. Rocky will be full of trailers in another 6-8 weeks.

Then we will here of fishing reports ...and boaters yelling at the Corps saying "why didn't you mark this..or that? It is a hazard"

The lake is a hazard to navigate in the daytime. I hope that folks don't go out and run at night. bang
