Both Converse Lakes are pretty good for fishing. During the winter months they are a little harder to fish but you can still pull some nice ones out of there. As for bass use soft plastic such as worms. Small crank baits work well also. Look for the deep areas during the winter time and then move to shallower water in the spring and early summer. Frogs, and small spinner baits work well during the warmer months. You may also want to try Live Oak Lake. There are also some super local creeks in the area and they hold some good fish as well.
