So I've been cooking fish for many, many years. Had family in town and my brother gave me an early Christmas present to cook some fish in for my family. I've always used a gas cooker and an aluminum pan and aluminum basket. My brother got a stainless steel basket and a cast iron pan. Man did that set up cook the fish quick. The old dog loves this new trick. Going out tomorrow on Hubbard with my brother so may see some of you all out there. Happy Fishing.

Frank, I hear about your killer fish fry but yet to taste it yet. Lets do one in Spring at your slip! My health conscious wife got an electric fryer and man that thing is nice. You put in oil, set the temp to 350, the "beep" sound will tell you that the temp is reached, put in the battered fillets and lower the strainer in for two minutes, and they come out perfectly. And the fryer is inexpensive too.

A buddy went yesterday (Wed) on Hubbard and he said it was "great"! He invited me but I had to work! Have fun catching fish with your brother today cuz I know you guys will catch plenty!! And yeah take some pics of your new hat!!

Todd my brother also bought himself one of those electric cookers for Christmas! I didn't realize that cast iron heats up and holds and distributes the heat so well. Got a Bass Pro card for Christmas so went yesterday and used some of it. Grabbed a stainless steel ladle to go along with the new set up. Now the fish will follow today! Told my brother you must be working or would have texted about going out... Tomorrow and Saturday are looking amazing. 65 and light winds.... Definite Spring fish fry. We can use my dock and friends party dock like last time. Kick off the Fishing Club for Spring...

Nice to see you out there. Was on the boat with guide Paul Rogers. Ended up with one over 25 inches and weighed. Eight pounds.
