Pittstate and I took my boat out for a spin yesterday afternoon for a couple hours. We didn't manage much action until the sun was going down. We fished the usual spots and marked a ton of fish and bait. Couldn't get much of anything until the birds started working some points as the sun went down.

We ended up catching a few nice size hybrids off Moe's 4" chartreuse swim baits. I cant remember the weight of the jig heads I bought, but they were big and yellow. Here's a tip for you. To get it to look the best and swim right, bite the head off the swim bait so it matches the size of the jig head as it meets the jig. Not a real big eye opener but someone told me that a while back and it seems to work well.

We let most of them go, but here is a couple of pics from what we caught:

Nice job Phil and Bob. flehan Hope the new 'girlfriend' rode good. rolfmao

I am having a hard time believing that you were on Lewisville because I don't see three foot rollers and all the other boats are giving you way to much room. scared

I got into them pretty well last night also. Same story as the day before with the extremely late bite under the birds using swim baits. I also caught a few dead sticking a silver glitter fiesta...
