Pittstate and I took my boat out for a spin yesterday afternoon for a couple hours. We didn't manage much action until the sun was going down. We fished the usual spots and marked a ton of fish and bait. Couldn't get much of anything until the birds started working some points as the sun went down.
We ended up catching a few nice size hybrids off Moe's 4" chartreuse swim baits. I cant remember the weight of the jig heads I bought, but they were big and yellow. Here's a tip for you. To get it to look the best and swim right, bite the head off the swim bait so it matches the size of the jig head as it meets the jig. Not a real big eye opener but someone told me that a while back and it seems to work well.
