My daughter Lucy and I are headed East to fish Palestine tomorrow and then LOP on Thursday. Any tips on either one would be appreciated.

LOP has been good on the south end is about the only place I have been spending anytime. I have been succesful on 1/8 hair jigs with pink heads and black eyes just jigging around the stumps. Its kinda hit and miss but we have caught some big slabs. Good luck!

Chris, Palestine was tough for me today (& several others as well). Tomorrow should be better. Work the West end of the 155 bridge (Coffee City end)starting around column 4 or 5. Baits that have been good are Pearl Truse, Sour Grape, Blue Truse & Chartreuse Slab Bandits and also orange/blue, purple/chartreuse and orange/chartreuse feather jigs. One guy has caught several on a solid black feather jig too. Hope this helps. Good luck & we'll look for a report.

I'd use the same bait we were using at Fork. Be sure Lucy wears rubber boots! Yall catch a bunch.
