Anyone fish Calaveras Lake lately?

TX....for some reason Reds slow down this time of year....if you make a trip to the bay, Reds are running like crazy n catchnnn nice ones but lake, nada!!! But...the Cats are awesome this time of year...drift w/fresh caught shad maybe some cut bait or perch....or try in 3' of water if the sun picks up like it should be this week...i use a plain ole popping cork, 18'' mono leader with a circle hook, shad and cast towards banks
