After being spoiled on texoma for the last month decided to head to whitney. well whitney is no texoma but she did produce some fish. caught some good stripers but all were 17". sandies were biting well also, all were keepers and mixed in with the stripers. technique was all bottom fishing with flukes on jig heads and slabs, under the birds. slabs with one to two foot pulls or slightly still and flukes deadstickin or slight movement. play with the baits to see what they like. Not sure how the afternoon bite was as i left at 1:00Pm. all fish were between the island and state park on the flat.
