Here is my crate, have to give Palmettokayakfishing.com credit for the idea but I modified it to my needs. Took an Itso container from Target and mounted 2 of Academy's 3 rod holder assemblies to each the front and the back of it, then attached a Spiderwire Fannypack style pack to each side for other things like soft baits, OFF, sunscreen first aid kit, and many other smaller items. The bungy cords are from the dollar store and keep everything in the box if i ever flip the yak. The rod leashes were also an idea from Palmetto and seem to work really great. These fit perfectly in a WS Ride 115 and are bigger than your standard crate so measure before you go buy one to be sure.

That's pretty slick, like the spider wire setup.

what is really cool is that the belt on that pak will go all the way around and buckle on the other side so it fits perfectly on the container.

I have been looking for those three rod holder setups. Never even thought Acadamy would have um. Thanks! I will be shopping this weekend!

I am new to kayaking. How do you mount the crate to the Kayak, more bungee cord or what?

I toss mine into the rear storage area that was molded into the yak and use the zig zag bungie cords that came on it to hold it down.
