How long do you folks leave your jerky in a food-dehydrator for end results? Also, can someone recommend a really good jerky marinade for me.
Thanks folks.

depends how thick you cut it. I cut it 1/8 of an inch. Takes 4-6 hrs at 155.
3tsp liquid smoke
1tsp celery salt
1tsp garlic powder
3tsp black pepper
3tsp red pepper seeds(more or less)
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp ginger
1tsp salt
1/2 cup each soy sauce and worestershire
1 cup boiling water
Mix everything then add boiling water. Marinade for 24hrs

Try this cajun recipe for rub. cover the meat with it, let it sit in fridge for a few hours, then dry meat. It is my favorite.

2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried leaf oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme
