As stated above the BPS Bionic Blade is a very durable and reliable rod. I have several that have given me good service for many years. BPS runs them on sale often. Jim

Hey tornado you might check Academy (not the cherry rods) and their nicer selection of rods. Then you head out to BPS and or Cabelas to compare. I have saved some good $ on some nice Academy rods compared to the big stores. Can't beat their selection, but sometimes their price. Good Luck.

has anyone tried the basspro shop graphite seris or the academy tournament choice rods I have a couple tournament choice rods on the garage. Ok rods, very cheap price, but they are heavier than most other rods.

My favorites are my G Loomis rods. Kinda pricey, but a good rod.

I bought 3 Temple fork rods and they are some of the best rods I own and the price is great ! I also use bass pro carbons and ugly stick lite's , they are all good rods imo but I continue to snag fish in there sides with my TFO rods.

If you spend $25.00 and up for a rod it will be good for sandies and hibbies. Medium heavy action 6'-6" or 7'-0". I have all BPS rods ranging from Tourney Series (slabbing/deadsticking) to Extreme Series (swimbaits/sassy shad) to Nitro Series (topwater) and all have held up to big fish with no problems. All the rods listed in other posts are very good rods. It comes down to how much you are willing to spend and what you are expecting out of the rod by way of feel and functionality. Good luck!
