Are the island still showing on the Mai lake? Was pretty shallow last time I crossed the bridge on 1960.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and the water level was at conservation pool; I think it's gone up a bit since then.

You can stilll see grass on main lake but thats only because its so long. Lake is only about a foot low. Muddy now with all the rain but if you can find clear water fish are biting. South end of the lake is supposedely still pretty clear.

I finished with 6 and the guy on the back of the boat got 4. All shorts except 1 that was 1.5. Sucked.

Went across the bridge on 59 water did not look that high to me water was not all the way to the bank like the year before.

Grant- there is water in/up the west fork, was in it yesterday with no issues.

Went to Luces Bayou again Sunday to get away from the wind. One strike, one 1 pound fish. Yippeee....

Well may have to take a trip pretty soon. I can't catch a fish out of that lake anyone have some info or spots to try  +1 I'm getting interested in starting to fish Lake Houston because its the closest real lake to me without having to drive all the way to fayette. anybody have any basic tips on running the lake, basic fish patterns there, etc? any help appreciated. thanks

Bassinboy. U really need to try conroe right now. Houston has smallies while conroe has some huge sacks comng out of it. Worth the drive.

Full and Muddy, Water temp was 70 in the back of some protected coves. Figures the rain would roll in as soon as I got on the water, managed 1 Buck sittin in 12 inches of water. The gar are allready spawning!
