The Crappie Elf decided to take CaptPaul & I down to the "TOP SECRET HONEY HOLE"
We launched The Crappie machine around 0800 with temps just below 40* w/winds around 12mph.

Right away the Crappie Elf goes to work, landing at least 5 crappie flehan before we even got our 1st bite.
Ren & the Captain culled threw a mess of crappie working towards a 1 man limit of keepers.
Then the ELF & CaptPaul decided to leave their spot & join me for some Sandbass Action!
The Crappie Machine sure lived up to it's name & turns out to be a good White hauler as well.

Think we got the Sandy bite dialed in. My Crappie hand still
needs A LOT MORE WORK hmmm But, I did manage to land my 1st Crappie/Sandbass double today! woot
Unfortunately, we had to be on the road by 1600 so we left em biting.

TO BE CONTINUED....

Nice haul. I've been mandated to stay off the water this weekend, but I'm ready to start the new year crappie fishing.

So either you guys fished overnight or you never learned military time.....stir I think you meant you had to be on the road by 1600. rolfmao Nice haul, though. The elf has definitely got them dialed in.

I was wondering if they were fishing at that time of the morning in the cold too.

Don't feel bad. I sometimes get skunk there too. The trick to not getting skunk there is to have minnows in your arsenal. I mainly use jigs. Anyone can put a minnow on a hook & catch fish.....hahaha
