This is not a complete list... but a pretty good list.
1 Toledo Bend 181,600 2 Sam Rayburn 114,500 3 Livingston 90,000 4 Falcon 83,654 5 Texhoma 74,686 6 Amistad 64,900 7 Richland Chambers 41,356 8 Tawakoni 37,879 9 Cedar Creek 32,623 10 Lewisville 29,592 11 Fork 27,264 12 Caddo 26,800 13 Choke Canyon 25,670 14 Ray Roberts 25,600 15 Palestine 25,560 16 Whitney 23,500 17 Buchanan 22,211 18 Ray Hubbard 21,671 19 Lavon 21,400 20 Conroe 20,118 21 Cooper 19,305 22 O H Ivie 19,149 23 Wright Patman 18,994 24 Travis 18,622 25 Corpus Christi 18,256 26 Lake O Pines 16,919 27 Meredith 16,411 28 Possum Kingdom 15,588 29 Arrowhead 14,969 30 Proctor 14,010 31 Limestone 12,553 32 Belton 12,385 33 Bridgeport 11,954 34 Somerville 11,456 35 Texana 9,727 36 Bob Sandlin 9,004 37 Eagle Mountain 8,738 38 Granbury 8,310 39 Canyon 8,308 40 Grapevine 6,684 41 Joe Pool 6,469 42 LBJ 6,449 43 Stillhouse Hollow 6,429 44 Medina 5,426 45 Granger 4,009 46 Calaveras 3,624 48 Eurvaul 3,397 49 Squaw Creek 3,275 50 Aquilla 3,020 51 Gibbons Creek 2,770 52 Fayette 2,400 53 Nacogdoches 2,212 54 Fairfield 2,159 55 Alan Henry 2,080 56 Tradinghouse Creek 2,010 57 Braunig 1,350 58 Pinkston 523
I noticed some missing... the list is primarily from Texas Lakes & Bays Fishing Atlas.... now we can settle some arguments about size .. since size seems to matter.

# 48 should read Murval -- fifteen lakes missing -- and its Texoma - three letter for each state Thanks for the corrections... I am hoping folks will add some lakes to the list... surely there are more than this in Texas.

Arlington is missing. I fished it this past Thursday for the first time. Conditions were bad but I was not expecting to get skunked like I did. Nice looking lake though.

There are 10 lakes on the list that I haven't ever been on. And I don't think Meredith is 16,000 acres anymore due to panhandle drought. Please Lord, let it rain ALL over Texas! Thanks for posting the list!
Also, where is Benbrook Lake and Lake Worth? Both are larger than some listed.

My favorite; Bastrop at 906 acres. I've fished 22 of the ones listed.

OK... Here is your updated list... Lakes of Texas by the acre...
1 Toledo Bend 181,600 2 Sam Rayburn 114,500 3 Livingston 90,000 4 Falcon 83,654 5 Texoma 74,686 6 Amistad 64,900 7 Richland Chambers 41,356 8 Tawakoni 37,879 9 Cedar Creek 32,623 10 Lewisville 29,592 11 Fork 27,264 12 Caddo 26,800 13 Choke Canyon 25,670 14 Ray Roberts 25,600 15 Palestine 25,560 16 Whitney 23,500 17 Buchanan 22,211 18 Ray Hubbard 21,671 19 Lavon 21,400 20 Conroe 20,118 21 Cooper 19,305 22 O H Ivie 19,149 23 Wright Patman 18,994 24 Travis 18,622 25 Corpus Christi 18,256 26 Lake O Pines 16,919 27 Meredith 16,411 28 Possum Kingdom 15,588 29 Arrowhead 14,969 30 Hubbard Creek 14,922 31 Proctor 14,010 32 Limestone 12,553 33 Belton 12,385 34 Bridgeport 11,954 35 Houston 11,854 36 Somerville 11,456 37 Texana 9,727 38 Bob Sandlin 9,004 39 Eagle Mountain 8,738 40 Waco 8,465 41 Granbury 8,310 42 Canyon 8,308 43 Grapevine 6,684 44 Joe Pool 6,469 45 LBJ 6,449 46 Stillhouse Hollow 6,429 47 Medina 5,426 48 Navarro Mills 5,060 49 Granger 4,009 50 Benbrook 3,635 51 Calaveras 3,624 52 Bardwell 3,500 53 Lake Worth 3,489 54 Murvaul 3,397 55 Squaw Creek 3,275 56 Aquilla 3,020 57 Gibbons Creek 2,770 58 Fayette 2,400 59 Nacogdoches 2,212 60 Fairfield 2,159 61 Alan Henry 2,080 62 Tradinghouse Creek 2,010 63 Arlington 1,939 64 Austiin 1599 65 Purtis Creek 1,582 66 Braunig 1,350 67 Sheldon Reservoir 1,230 68 Mexia 1,048 69 Bastrop 906 70 Marble Falls 611 71 Pinkston 523 72 Raven 203
The acreages come from either the Texas Lakes & Bays Atlas or the TP&W web site info for the lake... likely many are currently a lot smaller due to the drought, but his is the pool level size.

Add White River Lake 1,418. And change Meredith to 5 acres.
