anybody fish Keith Lake much ? I'm talking about the Keith Lake near Port Arthur. just got a boat and looking to catch some trout or reds.

There was an article in this month's Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine. If you haven't read it already, (and that's why your asking) you might give it a read.

Yeah ..u need a fairly small boat yo launch at Jr's or a non center console to go under the bridge but the fishing can be fantastic. Have caught numerous numerous trout ,reds,and flounder out there.

The biggest redfish I've ever seen cross the gunwhale of my boat came out of Keith's lake.

Great place to fish. I go there a lot. Summer time kinda slows down, but late spring and fall is GREAT fishing. Fish the shallow flats, you can see the mud trails where redfish dart off. Just cast in that direction.

Can't beat Keith in October, schooling trout, fatflounder, and reds out the wazoo - follow de birds - they like 1/2 OZ silver traps or new penny gulp pretty good then.

Anyone fishing KL lately? Reports?

Do you guys fish the main lake or the cut coming in from the ship channel?? Thanks
