Going to be in Kerrville for a couple of days. Any recommendations on places to eat in Kerrville/Fredricksberg area? Haven't been there in a long time.
Maybe a place that has good chicken fried steak or BBQ.

La Flours or The Lake House for fish and shrimp stuff in Kerrville, Fredericksburg has Davids Old Fashioned BBQ and Catfish Haven both on West end of Main St.

Okay, back from Kerrville. Thanks for the suggestions on places to eat. I found a little hole in the wall cafe (no disrespect, I love places like that) right off the downtown area. Called the Hill Country Cafe. Man, their CFS may be the best I ever had. Get there early, they close at 2 pm every day. Just a heads up.
Another one is the Lakehouse restaurant. Pretty darn good fried catfish.

Just saw your post. Lived here 32 years. Actually Del Norte has the best catfish. Buzzies has the best BBQ - won best in the state at the annual Texas Monthly competition last year. Hill Country Cafe is one of those local jewels we try to keep quiet, as is Del Norte. Best Mexican food is at Elena's in f'berg, turn left on Friendship Land coming from Kerrville - no really good Mexican food in Kerrpatch.

Thanks bluesman, I will be going back down there in the spring and I will look up the places you recommended. Lot of out of staters there this time of the year and they sure didn't seem to know about catfish, that's for sure.
