Ok. So I got to stay close to home this weekend since its xmas and all. I plan on fishing MW lake or Palo Pinto lake. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated since I'm a total Newb and just learned what a kayak is.....

Love that little park... Lots of rocks/boulders. Cranks and jigs. I would look for the bigger rocks on the west side that get warmed by sunlight first...

I went out in my yak last weekend. It was extremely slow fishing. All the other guys I talked to had about the same luck. I caught 4 fish, one about a 2 lb largemouth, in about 4 hrs of yakking it. Good luck.

Lake Mineral Wells is a really nice place.

I wrote a report on my website last year about one of my trips.

You can view it by clicking here.

Thank you.

You should definitely head out there sometime. It really is a nice place to paddle, and I would imagine that the fishing is really nice during the warmer months.
