Does anyone have experince with these.

http://www.defender.com/fire-rescue-pfds.jsp look down at the float coats/work suits section.

Are they comfortable and warm for fishing (I'm sure they work for flotation and better warmth while in the water). But how are they for a fising coat?

Thanks,

I ordered a set of these this year. I have not tested them in the water yet, but they are very light weight, warm, and comfortable. Not cheap but I felt since I got this old maybe I should start taking better care of myself.

I wore the work suit while salmon fishing in the Pacific Ocean out of Victoria, BC. It was warm and comfort able. But, we were trolling and not casting so I'm not sure what it would be like to fish all day wearing it and casting the whole time.

Skeeter, was that the Arctic Armor, or one of the Mustang or Stearns?

Thanks for the info,

Lance with Lance's Guide has been wearing the Artic Armor and he says it the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Mark, this is what I have been using the past two winters. Warm, light, and buoyant.

Yes - Something that can save someone's life (better odds to beat Hypothermia) - but still be comfortable and warm while fishing.

That is two thumbs up for the arctic armor!

Has anyone tried the Stearns or Mustang float coats/stuff.

And thanks for feed back guys,

I think it was the Mustang. It was made to protect you in case the boat sunk.
