Rain? We need it. I tend to watch this Lavon and Ray Hubbard pretty close. Especially when we are this low. I try to just look at what happened and what might happen. And the what if's. Ray Hubbard needs it. Lavon too. The last time they were this low was 2006 ( I know everyone knows that) but this time Lavon is down just a little more than 13ft 11/21/11 and Hubbard was down 6.55ft 12/3/11 before we had any rain. Ray hubbard came up a foot from the big rain we had a couple of weeks ago. Lavon came up 6 inches. Yesterday's rain came hard and fast at my house, but I know there was a solid inch + of rain that fell here in Wylie and it should be pretty good runoff. As much as I wanna see full lakes, I watch it inches at a time right now. Hubbard could come up 6-8 inches, and Lavon will come up some too.
In 06 Lavon was down 17.1 ft on 10/15/06 and Ray Hubbard was down only 4.88 ft 10/15/06. on 12/13/06 Hubbard was only 2.46 ft low and rising. Lavon was at 15.96 and rising. By 1/31/07 Lavon was only 7.89 and rising. Ray Hubbard was only 1.46 ft low. By June 11 Lavon was almost at flood stage and Hubbard was a little above full pool.
The graph looks almost identical except for the variance in levels from 06 and now. I'm no weatherman, but I think we are in for better times.
