Missing may not be the best description but at WOT....right at 5900rpm my motor feels like it is missing or not getting enough gas. I can just feel a slight slow down and the tach bobs just a hair.

I am thinking maybe the bulb is getting sucked in?

Just had a tune-up not too long ago.....maybe a month or two.

I would look at electrical . Like a bad coil or plug wire.

Even though there is no problem at lower rpms?

It can be harder to notice at slower RPM.

Took it up to the shop and talked for a bit.

Thinking it is the Rev Limiter. Got a few things to try.

It only hesitates a moment and only at WOT when we get up to full speed and full rpm

'lectronic motor. Too much junk on 'em far as I'm concerned. Way to hard ta figure out without a bunch a fancy equipment. Can't change nothin' on 'em. It is what it is!

Like said, ya can start with all tha fuel lines, filter and such. Easiest and cheapest. Probably needs it done anyway. If it still persist then go to tha 'lectronics........jmo

If it is a rev limiter seems like you need 1 more inch of pitch on your prop. I may be wrong but that XR6 manufacturer's max rpm is 5500. But if its a hot rod time bomb ya may look into losing the rev limiter and run her till she breaks!

Shop said 6100rpm is max. Thinking my tach may be off that much. Going out tomorrow and should be able to tell something

My 01 XR6 has 5600 on the transom mount sticker.
