Hit an all night trip with Stinkb8 and about 8 AM the beast was revealed! Time to upgrade the Net and the Fish Grips!!! Special thanks to the guys at Texas Parks and Wildlife for driving over and throwing it on their certified scale!!! Awesome crew! Tim Holding his new record!  Here I am so i can tell my friends I caught it!!  I did get the chance to pick up the rod, and got to dive in with the net.  Special thanks to bottom dwellers for giving us the extra sweat on the cheapo fish grips, and i think I'm going to need a bigger net!

Same spot he took me when I caught my 50lb PB. Congrats on the record bro, I knew I did a good job teaching you how to fish. Haha. My blue was the first time I've had a fish that is close enuff to tell people it was bigger than your bluecat PB since we were kids. Atleast you let me brag for a couple weeks before smashing it.

The most impressive thing to me is.... That cat doesn't even have it's winter weight on yet. Should be another 8-10 lbs in feb. Really glad ya'll did the right thing and released it

Here I am so i can tell my friends I caught it!! I did get the chance to reel her in alittle and got to dive in with the net. Did you help him fight the fish or just net the fish? That is a really nice fish and you should be very proud of it. You just want to make sure you dot all your i's and cross your t's when you submit the form. I don't know if you have seen the form but you have to make this sworn statement: "I, undersigned, state that the fish described on this application was hooked, fought and brought to net or gaff by me without assistance."

News states it was hooked by Mark and reeled in by Tim "stinkb8" Sucks that it wont be an "official" record, but nobody can take away the fact that ya'll caught it. Congrats again on the beast maybe Worth will get the respect it deserves now. Looks like they called out the press and everything...even has a TPWD spokesman calling it a record in the same article where it states it was fought buy two different anglers.

Congrats on record! BTW guys, if you recall, our current State Record was caught from the bank also. Cody caught "Splash" from the banks of Texoma. Big fish can be caught from the banks as well as from a boat.
